Wei Ling Xian looks like a nest of dead dark brown spiders. If you ate a bunch of spiders your tummy would surely stick out and hurt. It is used for focal distension in the middle jiao. If you swallow a bunch of fish bones, its salty nature will soften them. It is also used for severe joint pain due to wind-damp blocking the channels.
